I think the range between Ginyu and 3rd suppression form Freeza is enough, considering someone evil like Ginyu didn't even take the time to try that to take over the empire for himself.

But there's too much error that could happen. If he misses, he's crewed because Freeza's not going to show him mercy. But really, this may be different in the anime or dub, but Ginyu wasn't really a power hungry tyrant like Freeza and probably cared more about just hanging out with the group and having a fun time then trying to prove how badass he could be. Not to mention, Ginyu has it pretty good, being Freeza's right hand man and all that. Like we say, you don't fix what isn't broken.

It would have to be perfect and if he misses it's death. He's number 2 in the universe and has a great relationship with the number 1 guy, you absolutely dwarfs him in power. Sounds like a good spot to me.

Not to mention he's pretty much Frieza's right hand man. Life is too good for Ginyu to risk doing something like that.

Also, Guldo's abilities were well known as Vegeta implied, so obviously Ginyu's body swap would be well known as well thus Frieza would not just stare at Ginyu while attempts to do it, he'd know whatsup unlike Goku.

He boasts the greatest strength out of all Freeza's underlings, including the Ginyu Special-Squad, and what's more is one of the few men who pure-heartedly reveres Freeza. On the other hand he's also as jolly as he is super-duper strong, and does things like think up the choreography for strange poses. His battle power is 120,000. Ginyu was too loyal to consider the opportunity.

Mozilla Firefox Favourite Manga Dragonball/Z/Super, Naruto/Shippuden, One Piece, Hellsing, Death Note	Theoretically it can be done to anyone, however, off guard or not, Freeza is so much faster than Ginyu that as soon as Freeza realized what Ginyu was about to do he could have very easily gotten out of the way. Even if he was off guard, he still has a pretty good chance of dodging it since, if I recall correctly, Ginyu screams "CHANGE!!!" or something to that effect every time he uses it. Plus, before the Ginyu Force showed up, you have to remember Freeza was constantly surrounded by elite henchmen like Dodoria and Zarbon. They are not on the same playing field as the Ginyu Force but their goal is simply to do Freeza's dirty work and to watch his back. Risking trying to take over Freeza's body would likely be noticed immediately by someone by scouter or by eye, and if it failed, either by Freeza simply dodging it or one of his henchmen alerting him of the threat, would likely mean Ginyu's death. If he failed, which was almost certain, Freeza would have killed him. I think the gig as the leader of Freeza's most elite squad in the galaxy wasn't worth the very small chance of success, especially with death as the consequence of failure. Ginyu is not a Saiyan, nor does he lust for power. He obviously lacked first hand experience as to his own ability, too. When he switched bodies with Goku, he did not gain Goku's immense strength and was absolutely puzzled as to why not. This implication says a lot; that he rarely if ever used it and there was no way in hell he would try it on Freeza. Very small chance of success + death if it doesn't work. Freeza is over 50x stronger than Guldo at worst, in his first form
